    Eligibility: Applicants must live in Maryland, and they must be employed full-time by Maryland state or local government or nonprofit organizations that serve low income or underprivileged people. Priority is given to individuals who have graduated in the past three years. Applicants must also have college loans on which they have not defaulted, and each person's annual gross salary must be under $60,000. Applicants must work in one of the following positions: lawyers, teachers, nurses, nurse faculty members, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, speech pathologists or physician assistants.

    Eligibility: Applicants must be new graduates of Baltimore City public high schools, have family income of no more than $75,000 per year and contribute at least 15 percent of their college costs through self-help. Students must attend Bowie State University, Coppin State University, Frostburg State University, Morgan State University, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Towson University, University of Maryland College Park, University of Maryland Eastern Shore or Villa Julie College. Applicants must also attend the Transition to College Workshop and the Annual Scholars' Luncheon and other program events scheduled throughout the year. The Student Aid Report, college acceptance letters, financial aid award letter and transcript are required. The grant is given to students whose Expected Family Contribution and financial aid package are less than the cost to attend college. The award is renewable up to five years.

Students must agree to begin working within that employment field within one year of graduation at a rate of one year for every year that the scholarship was granted.
