    Eligibility: Applicants must be legal residents of Delaware and either a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen. Undergraduate students must be enrolled in a teacher certification program in a Delaware college and have earned at least a 3.0 GPA. High school applicants must rank in the upper half of their class and have earned a combined score of 1010 on the SAT. Preference is given to students who are planning to teach in a high need area, as defined by the Delaware Department of Education. Awards may be awarded for programs of study not available in Delaware and may be prorated for part-time students.

  • Delaware Educational Benefits for Children of Deceased Veterans and Others

    Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens who have been Delaware residents for at least three years prior to application. They must be the child of an armed forces member who died from a service-related cause, is/was a prisoner of war or has been declared missing in action; a state police officer whose death was service-related or a Department of Transportation employee who worked on the state highway system whose death was job-related. Applicants must be 16 to 24 years of age. Priority is given to students attending a Delaware public college, followed by students attending Delaware private colleges and those attending out-of-state institutions. Those attending private or out-of-state colleges must pursue majors that are not offered by Delaware public colleges.

    Eligibility: Applicants must be legal residents of Delaware and U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens who are enrolled full-time at a regionally-accredited undergraduate institution in Delaware or Pennsylvania. Other undergraduate and graduate students will be considered if their major is not available at a public college in Delaware. Students must demonstrate substantial financial need and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

    How to apply: Delaware residents are automatically considered for the scholarship when their FAFSA form is received.
